GIVING BACK
The Turkey Day Run’s mission is to raise money for local charities.
Each year, a portion of the proceeds from the run are donated to non-profit organizations in the Charleston area. Last year, the Turkey Day Run gave money to more than a dozen charities including:
- St. Leo the Great Catholic Central School
- HIS Way Ministry
- Daughters of St. Paul
- Wounded Warrior Project
- Hospice of Charleston
- Bishop England High School
- St. Vincent de Paul
- Birthright of Charleston
- Crisis Ministries
- Neighborhood House
- The Charleston Catholic School
- Florence Crittenton Programs of South Carolina
Operation Hope - Windwood Farm
- Special Olympics
- BEHS Options Program
- Lowcountry Autism Foundation

Additionally, in 2008, more than $13,000 was donated to the Heroes Fund, money that will help the families of First Responders including policemen, firefighters and rescue workers who die or are seriously injured in the line of duty.
